βFAQ
Your questions, answered.
Can I trade with my connected wallet?
Yes, however, we recommend users trade with wallets created on Defined, or with imported wallets that are specifically for trading.
By creating trading wallets on Defined, users enjoy a secure trading environment where their private keys are only visible to them via Passkey authorization.
Do you have a mobile app?
Yes! Our mobile app is currently in Beta and available on iOS devices through TestFlight. Android will be coming at a later date, stay tuned!
Can I connect with a Solana wallet?
We currently only allow Eth wallets for signing-in. Our recommendation is to sign in with Email, Google, or a Twitter (X) account rather than a wallet.
I'm not sure what device to use for my Passkey, what if I change my mind?
If you've reviewed our Device guide and information on Passkeys and still aren't sure, we recommend testing on a fresh wallet.
Passkeys are unique to the wallet/account connected to Defined.fi. We recommend adding a recovery email to your account in case you lose access to your Passkey.
I'm concerned about losing access to my account and wallets. What are my options?
Once you create Defined Wallets, we allow you to view/export their private keys. You could then keep these private keys in a safe place (secure password manager or offline) in the case you need to recover any funds should you lose access via Passkey.
We also recommend adding a recovery email to your account.
Will I be able to trade on new networks as they come out?
We are capable of supporting numerous networks and are working diligently to support as many chains as possible for trading. Ultimately we want Defined.fi to be a one stop trading platform for ALL chains.
We also have a goal of being the first trading platform to support new networks, such as Berachain, Starknet, Unichain, etc.
How does Defined manage trading/swaps? Do you place orders through an aggregator if there are multiple pools?
Yes. We have a quoting engine in the background that finds the best route for trades across multiple liquidity pools. For example, we have the option to use Jupiter on Solana and 0x on EVMs (where available). We utilize Turnkey for wallets with passkey security so we never have access to a userβs private keys; users can unlock/lock trading sessions for set timeframes for added security.
How do I stop tracking a wallet?
use the command /track stop <label>
, or delete from the wallet tracking page.
Iβve noticed that Defined (and Codex API responses) report a significantly lower liquidity than that of other platforms. How can I see the βtotalβ liquidity?
If you hover over the liquidity field on the pair page, youβll get a description with a full breakdown of how the liquidity is displayed. We only display the underlying liquidity token in the pool, which usually means it will be half of other platforms. We report this amount because we believe it is somewhat deceitful to report otherwise. To get the βtotalβ liquidity in the pool, you can simply add both sides of the poolβs liquidity.
When attempting to withdrawal from my wallet I keep getting a "Turnkey Wallet Not Found" error. How can I fix this?
We are working to resolve this issue, but in the meantime if you refresh the page it should clear the error and allow you to withdrawal.
How can I update socials and token images?
See our Edit Token Info section on how to do this! Defined allows users to submit proposals for token images and socials. Keep in mind that these are moderated and may take a day or so to approve. If urgent, you can contact us on Telegram and we'll approve the proposals if an admin is available.
Do you automatically add DEXes and is there a cost to do so?
This depends on a number of factors, such as the complexity involved (time/effort), and the expected volume on that DEX or associated chain. If you're curious about adding a DEX to Defined, please reach out and we can discuss possible options.
How can I report an issue?
